This is my first posting to this forum & 1st of all I want to say how happy I am to find the forum! I live in south-central Texas in a little town named Shiner. It's about 1/2 way between San Antonio & Houston. Yesterday, my bees started bringing LOADS of yellow pollen. There are no trees blooming and the fields in the country side are brown. Does anyone have any idea where they are getting this pollen?

Not sure about your area, but dandelions are starting to bloom here. It seems to be a couple weeks early -- even for us in GA.

Thanks, I just saw this web site mentioned in the "bee forum". http://www.pollen.com/Pollen.com.asp
Enter your zip code & it will show you pollen info for your area.

My bees have been bringing in dark orange pollen for a week or so dont know where they are getting it either, no blooms in sight.
I guess it is the Evergreen`s

I think its likely to be mistletoe or dandelion. Its a bit early for agarita.

In Texas, it's cedar.
