Do you measure from corner to corner?
Do you measure from side to side? (this one will yield about 13.4% reduction with respect to measuring from corners)
Please bear with me. Remember I am new at beekepping.
Thanks

Hi,

You will need a metric ruler and will be measuring in mm. Ok. To measure cell size you take an average across 10 cells. Start on the inside edge of the first cell wall (left wall of the cell, but the edge of that wall on the right) and measure 10 cells to the outside edge of the farthest cell wall away. You should come up with for example 52mm's which when you divide it by 10 will give you 5.2mm cell sizing. For AHB's you should get between 48mm or 49mm which will give you 4.8 to 4.9mm cell sizing. Hope this makes sense. Oh! You measure horizontally.

This page will give you some links to visuals on measuring. Shown is measuring foundation, but the same applies to comb.
