plastic foundation

This is my first year of beekeeping. I am ready for my bees to arrive this spring and can't wait. I do have a slight problem (maybe). I recently purchased frames with foundation already laid. I didn't think to ask if it was wax or plastic foundation. They are plastic and some are very dark brown, others are almost white. I have them in deep and medium size frames. My questions are; 1.Is plastc foundation as good as wax foundation? 2. Can I mix the plastic foundation frames and the wax frames in the same brood chamber or super? 3.Will the bees react differently to the dark and light color of the plastc foundation?

I have bee keeping bees for 3 years and when I first started I had black plastic foundation and wax. If you do not mix them the bees will work the black plastic or any plastic, but they like the wax best. I like the plastic with wood frames best using cell right foundation. After the bees have drawn out the plastic with wax cells you can mix them with the wax.
