When buying package bee how many pounds is good per hive? I was thinking on getting 4lbs for each hive but not sure if it to much or not enough. Can someone please advice?

It depends on the time of the year.
In spring 3# is enough but from Juli on here in Germany you will need 4#.

2# works fine when I pick them up. I try to get 3# mail order because of losses.
