LEAD PIPE

This is my first winter. It was in the fifties today and some of my bees were flying, some were bringing in pollen. Some bees were on body removal and when all was said and done about 50 bee bodies were in front of the hive. It got down into the low 20s for a few days last week.
Is this amount of dead bees normal?
Thanks

Not a problem at all. Think about the number of bees in a hive at any given time. Some of them are going to die everyday. The population from now till sometime next spring will continue to decline. There will be no replacement bees till the queen starts laying again sometime in January or February. She will not start laying heavy till nectar and pollen start coming in or you fool them.
