Dead bees in sugar syrup?

I have hive top feeders, but I assume that a certain number of bees drown in their feeders regardless of what feeder is used. I don't know if those bees decompose or are cured by the sugar water. In any case do those dead bees create a disease or any other type of a health problem for the hive?

I've never worried too much about it. It never seems to cause a problem, but of course, it's nice to clean them out from time to time.
