I melt it with water in the bottom with the wax. Then I filter it through a screen wire sieve to get the big stuff out. Then I pour it back into the pot and heat it up again and pour it through some cheescloth lining the wire sieve. Your container should be something flexible like a Rubber Maid tub or a plastic mop bucket. It has to be flexible so after it gets hard you can pop the sides loose. If theres a little of the water in the bottom but not too much, then it won't stick to the bottom. If there is too much water you can't push on the bottom to pop it out. After it cools and I pop the sides loose and push on the bottom to pop it out, I scrape the bottom clean.

I use cheesecloth or butter muslin (finer cheese cloth)but do make sure it is real cheese cloth and not the stuff you sometimes find in the auto department.

Thats true. Some of what is called cheescloth is way to coarse. You need a fine cloth. You could just use some broadcloth, but it will clog up sooner and when it does you'll want to squeeze out the wax, so as not to waste it, and then you'll squeeze through a lot of dirt again... It isn't easy to choose sometimes between not wasting the wax and getting it clean. http://www.beesource.com/ubb/smile.gif
