MB and those who use "shim the roof" style top entrances: http://www.bushfarms.com/images/MigratoryTopEntrance2.JPG

How do you reduce the top entrances for fall dearth robbing season, and overwintering?

Would you recommend putting on an inner-cover and letting the bees use the handhold, or filling the entrance except for an inch or so with a strip of wood, or is there a better idea?

Thanks, Patrick

twind59, Thanks.
The strip across most of the front sounds good and easy.

If you have a table saw, just rip a thin piece that is the size of the gap and cut it to length. You can put it into the lid with a small nail if you are afraid of it falling out.
