The show was a breed inspection, so it's mostly about conformation and movement. My older mare was being rejudged for Star (a premium designation for a Friesian) and my 3 year old was being judged for the Studbook and possible Star. The judges loved the older mare's conformation (as they always do) but didn't think she moved well enough for Star. The 3 year old got called back to be looked at more (always a good sign) but in the end they only gave her a 3rd Premium and said we should bring her back when she's matured more. So I think she will probably make Star eventually.
As always it was insane. If people don't get keyed up enough, the horses act like emotional amplifiers. http://www.beesource.com/ubb/smile.gif
