Hey all,

I am planning on building an extractor this winter and could use some help.

Does anybody have plans or dimensions for a 6/12 frame metal extractor frame.

I will be making it from Stainless steel and mounting it in a galzanized garbage can, then mounting a motor to drive it.

I have seen the plywood plans but I am looking for something closer to a standard SS cage.

Also, if anybody has one, what RPM is the motor and what size pulleys on the commercial 6/12 ?

Thanks,

-Jeff

I can't help with plans for a stainless steel extractor but I can tell you that the folks at maxant told me they run thier extractors (radials like the 1400P) at 450 +/- RPMS. I used a Zero-Max speed drive on my plywood unit so I did not have to mess with matching pulleys. Same size on each shaft was all I used.

What will you be using to cut your parts? I built my own out of sst and cut the parts on a laser. I run it using a VFD (variable frquency drive) it worked ok, but i am in the process of upgrading it to a larger size now. if you would like cad drawings of what i already did let me know and i will send them to you

nickoli,

I would love to see your plans. My father runs a machine shop and has fabricator who will be cutting the parts for me.

Send me an e-mail at jsotto@myway.com and we can figure out the best way to get them to me.
