The bees drew wax out and up above the top bars where the queen cage was before I took it out, what should I do about this?

Scrape it off with your hive tool, throw it in a bowl or whatever container you want to dedicate to burr comb. You'll collect a lot in the long run. http://www.beesource.com/ubb/smile.gif
