I have a swarm in a tree ( 18-20 feet up) near me that moved in last week (don't know if they are mine or not) - there are two softball size holes in the tree - there is no way that they will have time to draw enough comb, store enough honey with the typical conditions here - any way I can feed them? Put some old honey on a board and lift it near them by rope? I have tried putting a hive on the ground scented with lemongrass oil but they haven't been tempted.

That sounds like a cool thing to do. What will keep other bees away though?

Feeding is a leading cause of robbing and will do nothing to tempt them to swarm.
