I'm a third year hobby dude in wierd Northern California and I want to know a little more about the Pollen Traps available on the market. If possible, I'd like to know which traps are best for the hobby keeper and which ones offer the additional slot for a mite trap with sticky paper. IF ANY...

I thought about trying some pollen traps they had used ones for sale at our state beekeepers meeting recently for $15. I am told that here in North Carolina that the traps must be checked on a daily basis. The pollen will grow mold in our humid climate very readily. If your climate is humid, you may need to consider if a pollen trap is worth using. I think a dry climate is definitely preferrable.
