My bees are really eating the sugar candy I made is it as good for them as the syrup? Or which is better? Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Right now I would be feeding sugar syrup especially if your trying to build them up. The syrup stimulates the queen to lay eggs where as the candy helps the bees in winter not to starve. It really does not do much to raise brood. Question though before you give them more sugar syrup, is this an established hive and are you going to take honey off from the hive? If so I would let them start getting honey by themselves other wise it will turn up in your honey. If your trying to build up the hive keep giveing them syrup.

They will have to haul water to dilute the candy. The syrup will save them some work. Either works ok. But then again the syrup seems to be more likely to set off robbing.

Syrup is easier to make.
