These are pictures Barry Birkey took (Illinois) of uncapped cells and chewed pupa he found in some hives.

These are pictures Erik Osterlund took (Sweden) of the uncapped cells he found in a hive. He hasn't had confirmed any findings of mites yet. Officially the mite is 50 miles away, but he thinks only 30 miles is more realistic. This finding may indicate he already has Varroa. Dennis Murrell Casper, Wyoming
