Stinger loss
Hi Chris I looked at the stinger action under a microscope.
In this case
the stinger was imbedded by the bee into a piece of meat. Which
by all
reasoning certainly can get stinger also stuck. The stinging
action was
clearly seen. Very intere--sting to watch. I haver never seen
or tried to
observe the action between bee and another insect. BUT I see
this year daily
the dominant action between bees and wasps, specifically Yellow
jackets. The
bee loses every time. She is just not agile enough. She reserves
that for
me.
