Subject: Re: Drone eviction

Hi Gene

I've never seen workers stinging evicted drones, but it is possible for a
sting to be delivered that would not result in the death of the worker.

The usual activity is to bite the wing root severly enough to stop the drone
flying.

Legs are often bitten as well.

The only "fights" I have seen were when drones that had been expelled
crawled back up the leg of the hive stand and tried to gain entry.
