Hello Everyone
I have post several photos in
the photos section for this group (http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/BiologicalBeekeeping/lst).
Very
nifty process. It's quite a thrill to look down on the debris
below a
screened bottom and see the majority of the mites with bite marks.
They can be seen with the naked eye on mature adult mites by
reflecting light off their backs and noting the dents. The bees
continue to cleanse the broodnest as the immature mites and white
pupa parts attest. No starvation here either. Notice the fresh
wax
scales.
