Re: Wax

First wash the cappings to remove the honey for mead or honey drinks. Then take a wire coat hanger and redesign it to act as a frame (a P or a Q shape) over which a limb of a pair of tights is stretched. Place the cappings in a second best saucepan with a quantity of rain water. Bring to a rolling boil, always remembering that if hot wax boils over onto a heat scource you have a severe fire risk. Pour through the tights into another container, preferably conical like a pudding basin for easy removal. Leave to solidify.

Most debris will be collected by the tights or dissolved in the water or sunk
to the bottom. There may be a little adhering to the underside of the wax.
Scrape it off.
