Interesting thought and honestly I must say it could or may work
if semi
wet/dry LOOSE cappings were placed over the bees in a type of
feeder tray
maybe similar to pollen or inboard sugar feeders laying flat
the bees could
go in and out of. Can picture the bees carrying the pieces of
wax in their
mandiables and using it. But they they could also throw it out
also or put
on bottom board etc. But to reuse? If wax combs are put back
after
extracting, aren't the frayed and surplus pieces of wax sticking
to them
used now?
Would indeed be interesting
to find out if bees would reuse this finely
chopped wax with honey to stimulate more wax building, say like
during a
spring buildup if saved for as a stimulus to get ready.
Very good thought Gene! You
going to try it?
