Thanks for comments Dee. Concerning
the mill, he wraps the waxsheets with
thin plastic to make it easier avoid wax to stick to the rolls.
This
prevents stretching of the cells when milling and the foundation
stays 4.8
all three ways actually. Concerning temperature when milling
I don't know.
He bought premade sheets from the waxproducer that was 3 mm thick.
But
those made looong foundations a s a result and stretched cells
up over 4.9
in that direction.
Yes it seems when bees are
left for their own as these Norwegian mongrels,
or naturally adapted blend, they go down in size, apparently
making them
able to even draw 4.8 correct even if they were born in that
big sized
cells.
