Reply:
Gene, if you have two strong
hives with queens and eggs, give the weak one a
frame of eggs and open brood from each, exchanging frames from
the weak one
if they have enough bees to cover the brood of two new frames
of brood
inserted. Let them raise a new queen. You wait a week or more
and they may
fight a new queen as laying worker urges start to set in to the
scenario
making introduction harder. Then in a week or two when replacement
queen
arrives you have another option (remember you have two strong
hives you
say.) Do you by any chance have a double screen divider?
