Hi all

for Pav's benefit a bee bob (UK style) was a bit like a school teacher's
morter board.

Usually a board about 250 mm square with a small chunk of old carpet crafted into a ball or knob and fixed on the underside of the board in it's centre.

These constructions were suspended from trees and buildings and were
intended to form a focus for bees to swarm onto. (honey & propolis were
daubed on the carpet).

The idea was that the board provided shelter from rain and a small amount of shade. The carpet provided a realy good anchor that the bees could grip
readily.

I used this carpet idea in ridge form underneath the top edge of of a
taranov board.
