Thanx Erik,
I really appreciate the link
to a new source of bee stuff and info.
It never occurred to me that
something as simple as a cider press would work
well for honey extraction. My son would say, "Well, duh!"
My only
reservations would relate to cost and difficulty of clean-up.
The prices
Swienty lists are in Euros and I have no concept of how that
relates to
dollars US. This type of product is also available in the Lehman
catalog I
previously adverted to, again I don't know how their prices compare.
As to
clean up, I suppose that it could just be set out to let the
bees clean most
of it up (wouldn't instigate robbing if placed away from the
hives, I should
think), followed with a good hosing down. But the boards and
jack still
look less spendy and easier to clean.
