Here in Eastern Missouri, several
of us tried Yugo bees. We found they
swarmed a lot. And that, they were susceptible to chalk brood
and other
diseases that Carnolans and Italians are resistant to. Also we
have
found, the last couple of years, bees from Texas, have gotten
more
aggressive than hobbyist beekeepers want to deal with.
After our experience with Yugos
we are being more cautious trying
Russians until we find someone else has success with them.
