Subject: Re: Clean wax for Organic Production?
Hi all,
I can't comment on PDB. Wax
moths are rarely ever a problem were I live. But
I believe solar max melters most likely can remove a good amount
of the
chemical (impossible to get it all and that goes for every other
chemical
too!).
How clean is clean? 100% chemical
free will never happen! You can only
have wax as clean as the environment that you keep your bees.
I can't see
wasting one's time trying to get wax cleaner than ones environment
will
allow (I'm not talking about mitecides here, just environmental
factors that
affect everyone counting humans).

Color is what you see with
your eyes! Why "MUST" they be a contaminant?
Combs that are in use in hives never remain "pure"
wax. I think the
distinction between clean and chemical free needs to be made
here.
