I have used Pav's beer can method for refining wax. Just pour molten wax into
a can with the top removed. When it has solidified just peel off the metal.
The dense solids will be at the bottom. If it is already pretty clean you
just have to pare away around the punt. If it is dirty saw it like a log to
separate the clean from the remainder that needs re melting.
