Subject: Snakes
Hi all,
Saw a (glimpse of) grass snake
exiting a hive yesterday! Leaving fast
too...There's non chemical control for you! I have a really strange
one. One
of my colonies with an emerged queen cell has a comb with a patch
the size
of my hand missing. Around the periphery of the missing bit the
cells are
chewed down. The faces of comb each side of the missing part
are also chewed
down to the midrib, as if sanded or wire brushed. No sign of
rodents, and
it's not the hive that had a grass snake either.
Any ideas?
Many thanks
John Sewell
