Try to cram a thousand people
through a house door. They get backed up.
Take the same thousand people and have them go through a garage
door. The pass more readily. I suspect the same is with a hive.
Thus you cut down on honey crop. UNLESS you have many small enterances.
Such as holes in boxes, stick or notch in/under inner covers
(if used). Sticks between supers or staggering suppers, ect.
