Normally to keep the queen
laying the bees need fresh nectar (liquid feed)
coming in and pollen (could be either stores or fresh), and a
place for the
queen to lay.However you are drawing wax with the 4.9. Too much
nectar/feed they go into a bigger cell size drawing mode if the
bees get ahead of the queen too much. You'll just have to feed
and watch and play it by ear, very slowly adding new foundation
in the broodnest for the bees to work on.
