Subject: Laying workers

In the cells of one laying worker colony (darker bees) are single eggs and
several fine threads that resemble eggs. Has anyone seen this? I sort of
wondered if it could be sperm? I've read that no matter how you kill a drone
it everts, wondered if they ejaculate?
