What if I simply don't renew
queens on a regular schedule, not because
I'm a lazy beekeeper, but because I want to develop a long-lived
strain, and
need to know how long they'll last before they get superseded?
There seems to
be an assumption built in here that the beek has to follow the
standard US
commercial practices, modified for organic production. I write,
of course, as
a Brit going my own way no matter what!
