Great Clay! Sure enjoyed talking
to you in the chat on Sunday night. We sure
passed a lot of information all of us there.
Yes, if you leave laying workers
many times they will straighten themselves
out but they will be weak, for they are stressed and it is the
stress and
the hard circumstances that kicks in the bees for the queenmaking.
Bet the
queens you got are dark and small! Just bring them on slowly,
like building
up a nuc with TLC. It is a trait you will be proud to have and
work with for
survival. As the queens gain more strength, be prepared for them
to requeen
further down into the active season, to shift into regular queen
status,
prior to winter.
You are gaining much as your
progression into naturally smaller gains
momentium now.
On your 2002 pre-buildup, if
you do 1,000 and it is for 100, then you will
need another 2,000 to hold minimum for the year, so get prepared
for the
work of box jamming.
This is something we can all
take about in chat next month. The detailing of
workup for bees to the nitty gritty.Did you have any problems
following the
conversation with so many talking at once in the chat? Seemed
like everyone
was doing pretty good. We had several different conversatons
going on at the
same time with different beekeepers talking back and forth exchanging
information real fast to handle immediate problems and needs.
