No, losing bees to fall honey
seems to be a problem that you have to deal
with, I'd venture to say that a majority of beekeepers do not
have this
problem. I don't anyway. I know the Lusby's don't feed sugar.
Plenty of
others also. Speaking for myself, I have never fed in the fall,
strictly
what the bees bring in themselves is what they have, and they
winter just
fine. Just two different locals, two different sources for nectar,
probably
two different races of bees, and two different results. We can
agree that
sugar feeding is anything but the norm. The point I'm trying
to make.
