Subject: slugs...
Robert inquires:
Are your
hives on the ground or off it? I left an empty hive on the
ground last summer, and of course it was still there when the
weather broke.
So I found it full of several dozen big mottled grey slugs, it
was jst the
one species in there. I raised it up on a couple of breeze blocks,
and they
disappeared as soon as it began to dry out.
<me here>
They're actually on TWO pallets.
That's why I was surprised I had so many slugs!
What are breeze blocks? I will raise the hives up higher this
spring, in
hopes of keeping the slimy critters out!
