Chalk brood
In my apiary the preponderance of chalk brood , if any, prevailed in Top Bar
hives . It was cleaned out effectively by the bees with the associated waste
of time and consequently no harvest in 2001. Race : mongrels.
I am under the suspicion that ventilation is a factor . 2002 will bring some
anwers if they survive the winter.
