700 if strictly square decimeter
is about 5.75 mm, which is way to big.
Good for storing honey.
Cowan said Italians were sligtly smaller than dark bees, which
does not
defend such big difference in cell size being natural. Cowan
also i 19th
century measured, probably black bees naturally worker cells
(probably both
intended for brood and for storage, which are bigger) to be between
4.72
and 5.36 mm, so Cooper maybe measured storage cells and wanted
big
cells/bees or worked with a hybrid without knowing it and still
wanted big.
