Reply for Chris:
When you measure the drone
cells Chris, could you measure then in the spring
when they are first made in relation to the size of the worker
cells first
made also? Then could you do it again during your main flow for
both,
especially since it is written that bees progressively get bigger
as the
season goes on, so we can see if it is true and you can see a
difference?
Also Chris :>) any way to
get measurements of drones made on own comb,
drawing wax relative to the various sizes of foundation currently
used in
the UK, to see how the bees are adjusting the drones in relation
to the
various foundation sizes in use?
I know that Baudoux in Belgium
wrote about this in the 1930 in Bee World and
Dave has mentioned that Beo Cooper worked with a similar project. But
that
was so long ago.Would be nice to see what the bees are doing
now and then if
they are regressed how they fall back in sizing in stages in
all sizing
zones i.e. worker and drones and even queens? :>)
Hopefully, not too many questions
and work to look at?
