HI,

Since Washington is near Canada I would assume that the bees were imported
to Canada. Then brought into the US or from a swarm that wasn't aware it
couldn't enter . Maybe a descendant that from a swarm that jumped the line.
I would think it hard to prove that these bees definitely came from
Australia however.
