Subject: Re: Observatons (management)
Hi Dee,
You stated that your field
managment changed:
Nothing has changed much in
what we do, though it is arranged in field
management a little bit differently, concerning the bees and
supering. We
take honey the same
Exactly what do you do differently?
I have no doubt that the cell size of
honey bees has been changed (larger) and the proper size should
be 4.82 to 4.85. However 4.9 will work just as well since Dadant
is producing it. You
said in an earlier post that one should select for black bees.
How are those
of us that keep yellow bees to survive( David E., I keep carnies).
What
about adapting to ones climate? When regressed are you saying
that yellow
bees won't survive in northen climates? Italian bees are the
most common
bee in the U.S. and Canada. How would an individual select yellow
bees in
northern climates after regression? Need some clarification.
Thanks.
Clay
Just thinking yellow bees have
to make it too.
