Subject: Dadant full foundation sheets
Hello Everyone,
My typical American sized bees
are drawing out full sheets of Dadant
small cell foundation without any transitional cell type problems.
Maybe
the excellent cell wall definition in this foundation counter
balances
any tendencies of the bees reverting to the larger cell size.
If this proves to be the experience
of others, using full sheets of
Dadant foundation could bypass the use of starter strips or an
intermediate size foundation resulting in only one shakedown.
In areas
with a short bee season, hives might be left in better condition
to
survive a long winter.
Just my thoughts and limited
experience with small cell foundation.
