hives went down stream

Hello all,

In my last post I mentioned our greatest management challenge had to do
with the weather.

Last night 3 1/2 inches of rain fell at the bee yard with two inch hail.
The creek that never gets more than 30 feet wide got 60 feet wide. Ten
hives went down stream. We managed to find 8 hive boxes 3 bottom boards
and 5 covers.

All the boxes contained bees, also mud and debris. Working in light rain
we put them upright and covered them. Severe storms are forecast for
tonight, clearing in the morning.

Will go back tomorrow, and see what we can save.

Hoping the severe weather missed the rest of you.

Micky
