Subject: Re: Queenless Bees
MM.. the reason i was asking
was because I was trying to get rid of
a hive of bees i have. I killed the queen which was more than
two,
years old. The next week, i returned to the hive and noticed
four
queen cells were in the process of being produced. I quickely
destroyed these. Another week latter I checked the hive and there
was another two cells I had missed. I destroyed these. Threee
weeks
latter, I checked the bottom hive and noted there was very few
brood,
all were sealed. Five weeks latter the brood were all gone and
all
cells were either empty or full of n\honey. Three months later
I
returned and noticed that there was now a queen and brood. What
has
happend?? the original bees were the yellow variety although
I know
black bees are close. The new bees are still yellow??
thanks
