Hello Dina -

The main thing you want to do is keep the bees out of extreme temperatures either way. Even bringing them into the house to a basement or dark room would work. Garage too if it's not hot. Spray the screen with water from a spray bottle or just sprinkle from your hand. They need water more than feed usually. Some suppliers will include a tin of syrup in the package for the bees. You could mix up a 50/50 (sugar/water) syrup to spray on the screen too but at least water is a must. Provided the bees have only been in the cage for a day or two, they will be fine for several days yet.
